Organize one design more than one way, without moving the file.
Put a design in every category it fits, nest categories inside each other, and give each one a cover. Your files stay exactly where they are saved.

From one folder per design to every place it belongs.
A file on your drive sits in one folder. Real designs belong in more than one place: a holiday, a product type, a customer.

One file, several categories

One file, three categories. Nothing copied or moved.
One design, in every category it belongs to.
Add a design to as many categories as it fits: a holiday, a product type, a customer. It shows up in each one, and there is still only one file on your drive.

Categories inside categories, each with a cover.
Build a structure as deep as you need, such as Halloween inside Holidays. Give each category a cover image, or let CutVault show a design from inside it, and see a file count on every card.

Start from the folders you already sorted.
Build from Folders turns the folder layout you already have into categories, with a preview before anything is created and Undo after. Nothing on your drive is moved or renamed.
Fill a category with many files at once.
Add files to a category from a picker with search, a folder filter and thumbnails, or select files in the library and add them all in one step. Create a set of new categories at once by typing them as a comma-separated list.
Reorganize categories without touching a file.
Move a category with everything inside it, merge one into another, or clear out every empty category at once, with undo for merges and cleanups.
StandoutDeleting a category never deletes a fileRemove a category and its designs stay in your library and on your drive. The category goes to Trash and comes back with its files.

01Does adding a design to a category move the file?
No. The file stays in the folder where you saved it. Categories organize your designs inside CutVault.
02Can one design be in more than one category?
Yes. Add it to as many as it fits. It is still one file on your drive.
03What happens to my designs if I delete a category?
Nothing. Deleting a category never deletes the designs in it. The category goes to Trash and can be restored with its files.
04Can I use the folders I already have?
Yes. Build from Folders turns your existing folder layout into categories, with a preview first and Undo after.
05How deep can categories go?
As deep as you need. Put categories inside categories and give each one a cover image.
06How is a category different from a tag?
Categories are a structure you browse, nested and with covers. Tags are words you put on designs and filter by. Many makers use both.
07Are Categories sold separately?
No. Categories are included with CutVault Pro. The $169 one-time price is for the complete CutVault desktop app, not for categories on its own.
